Spiritual Things

Elementary mystic, suckered by age and illusion,
Readily giving my trust to the unseen,
Feeling pretty good about it.

Middle School master, smarter than most of that stuff,
Didn't feel too close to the source,
Didn't feel too close to anything.

High School scholar, carrying the load of two brains,
Feeling pretty good about myself,
Making the people around me uncomfortable.

College predicament, confronted by the unknown,
Scared, alone, isolated,
Making the best of the worst times.
